Paco G. Robles

1960, Barcelona, Spain.

He studied photography, television, and film at the Barcelona School of Audiovisual Media (1980). He later studied photojournalism with Ruido Photo, Barcelona (2002).

He has worked professionally as a photographer, director, camera operator, and video editor since 1985. He worked at SONO in institutional and product advertising, specializing in combining photography with multiscreen video (1985). Furthermore, he later moved on to television for ANTENA 3 TV and was part of the team that launched its first branch in Catalonia (1990). He was subsequently hired by MEDIAPARK, an audiovisual park, where he worked for the television channels VIA DIGITAL, TELE 5, and RTVE (1994). Finally, he has been working for the public television channel of Catalonia, 3CAT (1995).

He complemented his training with photography and film workshops at Maine Media Workshop College in the USA. He attended photography and photobook workshops with Óscar Molina, Israel Ariño, Juanan Requena, and Juan Manuel Castro Prieto. Likewise, he was awarded a Can Baste photobook scholarship.

He has exhibited his work individually at Institut Cervantes in New Delhi, India; at Museo de la Mediterránea Girona, Spain; and at House of Tibet in Barcelona, Spain.

His collective exhibitions included Valid Photo gallery in Barcelona; Fotolimo festival in Cerbère, France; and Can Basté Civic Center in Barcelona, Spain.

He self-published (designed and laid out) two photobooks, YAMA and TOQUE EL TIMBRE.
